Project overview

Brize Van Sales Limited

Brize Van Sales is an independent used van dealer based in Brize Norton, West Oxfordshire. Run by Martin and a small team, they specialise in commercial vans for tradespeople, small businesses, and anyone who needs a workhorse they can rely on.

What sets them apart is their sister company, MS Mechanical, a dedicated van repair workshop on the same site. Every van that goes up for sale is checked, serviced, and signed off in MS Mechanical’s own bay before it ever reaches the listings page. Buyers get a three-month warranty as standard, with the option to extend.

Their approach is refreshingly straight. Honest pricing with no admin add-ons at the desk, no-pressure advice, and a willingness to source vehicles to spec through their trusted network when the right van isn’t already in stock. It’s the kind of local, hands-on dealership where the people selling the van are also the people who can fix it.

The challenge

All the credibility offline, none of the visibility online

Brize Van Sales came to us already trading well, with workshop expertise and a word-of-mouth reputation built up through the local trade. What they didn't have was a place of their own online. Customers asking what was in stock had nowhere to browse, social posts had nowhere to point, and the team's only alternative for getting their inventory in front of buyers was third-party marketplaces they didn't want to be on. They needed a platform they owned, branded around them, and easy enough to run themselves as stock changed week to week.

No brand to build trust around

Used vans are a high-trust purchase, often costing buyers thousands of pounds. Without a logo, colour palette, or visual identity, Brize had no way to look the part online, and every hesitant buyer was a sale quietly going to a name they already recognised.

No central hub for stock

Stock changes every week and customers want to browse before they pick up the phone. Without a site of their own, the team had nowhere to point the traffic their reputation was already generating, and every "what's in stock?" enquiry meant starting the conversation from cold.

Listings that needed to keep up with the forecourt

A van might sit on the forecourt for two weeks or sell within twenty-four hours. The team needed to add new stock, update prices, and mark vans as sold themselves, in minutes not days, so a buyer never landed on a van that had already gone.

No online checkout means no margin for friction

Used vans don't sell in a basket. Every listing has to make it obvious how to ask a question, book a viewing, or pick up the phone, because in this sector the enquiry is the conversion. Brize needed a site designed from day one to turn an interested browser into a real conversation before they clicked away.

Our approach

First the brand, then the website

Our starting point was the brand. Without one, none of the other problems could be solved properly.

A site without an identity has nothing to dress, a stock listing without a logo has no shopfront, and an enquiry form sits on no ones letterhead. So we worked through the visual identity with Brize Van Sales first: a logo, typography, a gold and black palette, and usage guidelines designed to travel everywhere the business needed to.

Today that brand turns up on the website, the forecourt signage, social posts, even the mugs, and looks the same wherever a buyer meets it.

A website, and a listings platform behind it

With the brand settled, we built the site around it. A clean, modern design that puts the stock first, with the homepage doing the work of a forecourt window: vans you can browse, reviews from real customers, and a clear sense of how Brize Van Sales does business.

Behind that sits the part Martin and the team actually live in: a custom-built vehicle listings platform, designed around how they work. Adding a new van takes minutes. Photos, price, mileage, spec, status, all in one place. When a van sells, marking it as sold updates the listing everywhere it appears across the site.

The team can do it all themselves, in their own time, without needing to call anyone.

And the buyers side is built around the same idea: every listing lands with three ways to get in touch sitting side by side, an enquiry form, a phone number, and a WhatsApp button, so a hesitant buyer can pick the way that suits them and the conversation is never more than a tap away.

The outcome

A working part of the business

Since launch, the site has been quietly earning its keep.

The first real test came early, a buyer found Brize Van Sales through Google, sent an enquiry through the site, and bought a van. Not from a referral, not from advertising, just someone searching for the right vehicle and landing on theirs. It was the first sign the platform was paying its dividend, and the pattern has held since.

A first sale from a cold organic lead

Within weeks of launch, a buyer found the site through Google with no prior knowledge of the business, sent an enquiry, and bought a van. Exactly the kind of diversification away from word-of-mouth and the local trade that Brize were hoping the site would deliver.

A platform the team run on their own

Brize add, update, and remove vehicles entirely in-house. Stock moves on and off the site as quickly as it moves on and off the forecourt, which means buyers see what's actually there and the team doesn't need to wait on anyone to keep things current.

A brand pulling its weight on every sale

The brand isn't a logo on a page, it's the first impression every buyer forms before the conversation starts. From the forecourt signage to the van listings to the email reply they get back, Brize now show up as a single, settled business, and every interaction starts from a position of trust instead of having to earn it from scratch.

Brize Van Sales now has a brand, a platform, and a working sales channel they didn’t have before. The team run it themselves day to day, and we’re on hand for the moments where things get a little too technical to keep moving without us. The business keeps doing what it has always done well, only now with somewhere online for that reputation to land.
